I felt inspired to create this particular religious painting because of the great need for peace in this crazy world we live in. It pains me to hear the uprise in depression, anxiety, and suicide. Many feel lost and hopeless, and don’t know where to turn in their desperate state.
I have great respect for people of all religions and beliefs. Our world is diverse and beautiful. All of us can contribute our time, talents, and light to make life more meaningful; not only for ourselves, but for everyone we encounter.
This painting is based off of what I believe; that Jesus Christ is the Savior of all mankind, and through him, we can feel peace, safety and security. He is the light in the darkness, and offers hope and guidance. His outreaching hand is ready to take ours, if we allow; to lift us from our deep despair.
I entitled the piece after this scripture: “For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, fear not; I will help thee.”
