We love escaping to California after a long, cold, Utah Winter. One year when our kids were tiny, we took them to Newport Beach and let them play in the sand and water. As I sat watching them, my youngest, who was only two at the time, was waiting for the seagulls to land on the beach, and then would chase them, only to watch as they would take off in flight. She was having the best time, and was laughing hysterically. I took a photo of this moment, and later painted it, and I'm so glad I did. Such an incredible moment in time!
