When my kids were tiny, we went boating at beautiful, Yuba Reservoir in Utah. It was a perfect day, and the water was the prettiest blue! My then, 7-year-old daughter was keeping a close eye on her baby sister, and would not let go of her little hand. She prevented her from getting too close to the water, and served as her protector. It warmed my heart so much to see how much my oldest daughter loved her baby sister. I took a photo of that very moment, and later painted it. I grew up with all brothers, and always longed to have a sister. Since that never happened, I'm grateful that I not only had a son, but also three daughters! It's been amazing watching them throughout the years, and I'm so grateful I am their mom.
